The Layouts: The Kitchen

Here's the 2 pg layout I did of the kitchen Cole got on Christmas morning.
He had so many expressions, it was hard to weed out the best pictures...so the 2nd page is more of a collection of all those shots (and I still only used 1/2!)

Back at it...

Well I know it's been a long time again... but I did get one page done. :) It's a layout of me and my beautiful daughter on our recent visit to NC to see Nana, Papa and Uncle Adam (just back from Iraq! - YEA!!). Hope you enjoy...and I'll try to get some more new stuff out there soon!

Pumpkins!

Here's the photos from our trip with the Daycare to the pumpkin patch! It was a lot of fun to tag along with Cole's class. They have a lot of energy - and I can't imagine trying to keep track of that many kids!

Riding

Only had a chance to get one layout done. Cole and Alexis were busy with Grandma and Grandpa all weekend. They both had a great time.

This layout is of Cole and Alexis riding around on Cole's little blue car. He just loves giving her rides - and as you can see from the picture, she loves it too!

Main kit used is Rummage Chic by Shabby princess. There are a bunch of other elements from various sites - but I can't remember them all right now.

Lovies

This is one of my favorite pictures of Cole and Alexis. I love the way they are looking at each other with just this love and wonder.

Today I went with Cole to the pumpkin patch for a daycare field trip. It was fun, now I'll have to scrap the photos!

This layout uses the French Countryside kit by SP & CR available at shabbyprincess.com

Alright - I finally got back to scrappin'!
The first page of me with the kids was a scrapover template - I just plopped in my pix. Easy peasy. :)
Second layout is of Cole and Alexis playing outside. They were so cute rolling around in the yard. Kit is by Shabby Princess, layout totally created by me.
The third layout of Alexis outside is a template that I used to put this layout together.
Fourth layout is another scrapover template that I added my photos to, including the cut out of Alexis. Also added some other embellishments.
And the last layout is of Cole at the park at Myrick Zoo. The pieces from this layout are pulled from a half a dozen different kits. I really liked the up close photo but it was a bit fuzzy. So I did various things to it to make it blend into the background.
Hope you all enjoy my new layouts! Night, night...

More layouts!

I actually got more time scrapbook!
So here's what we've got -
Alexis ( new kit from Cottagearts.net)

Cole and his friends at daycare.

Alexis at the cabin (pre-made page background is from Cottagearts.net)

The crazy chipmunks
and

Cole and Alexis.

Time for me to hit the hey - hope you enjoy.

Here's 2 pages of Alexis and Cole from July and August. Alexis was such a sweetie smiling and Cole had such a blast shucking peas. I'll try to get more layouts done this afternoon/evening.

Back

Finally a chance to get back and do a little scrapbooking. The kids are in bed (though I'm just about ready to go there too) and it's all quiet in the Cabin...for a few more minutes. Christi and Andy just got here, so I'm sure that Cheza will be going crazy any minute.

Got a new kit from CottageArts.net. That combined with some other elements from here and there and I managed to put this layout together.

Hopefully I'll get some more time to scrap this weekend before we head out - looks like we'll be leaving on Sunday and stopping at the VA in MSP to visit grandpa on the way down.

Here's another layout of the two Nin-nin's. I interviewed Cole and asked him about his Nin-nin and wrote down his responses. I'm sure one day he'll probably want to hide this page - but in the mean time it's fun!

Last Night at the Lake

So my last night of scrapping and our last night at the Cabin. Cole was not happy when Eric told him we had to go home tomorrow. He started yelling "no bye bye daddy, no bye bye". And to tell you the truth, I don't blame him. Who wants to go back to work when you can play up here and enjoy the outdoors, build chipmunk houses, dig up rocks, and go swimming and ride the jet ski. Who knows, I might be yelling No bye bye! LOL. Christi and Andy made it up here about 3ish. Long drive for them coming from Il. They are staying until Sunday though. Had a big dinner tonight of spoon roast and mashed potatoes, and Cole was a little chow hound on the roast! I couldn't beleive it. He never ceases to amaze me on what he will and won't eat!
Well I bet you can't tell what my latest digi tool is... cool artist effects from Scrapgirls. I had been working on that fish layout for a while and just needed something to blend in the fish to the background. I like the end result. I then found a layout I started and didn't like of Cole and myself. I used the artist brush look again and did a completely different layout with the same two pictures. I posted both the new one and the old one that I wasn't too much of a fan of. Feel free to tell me what you think. I always love to read comments about what we are up to and my digi layouts. Well good night, on my last night at the cabin...hopefully I'll get a chance to get back on once we are home - though I think we all know how that goes. Busy, busy, busy

Thursday Night...

Not a lot of scrappin' going on tonight. I did finish a layout of my friend Sarah. Isn't she just beautiful with her sweet little daughter Kennedy? I created the layout for her as a surprise - hopefully she doesn't see it out here before I can print a copy and give it to her. It was my first 8x10 scrap page. Pretty fun! The other layout is a wallpaper for Eric's computer. He's been after me to give him a new one that includes Alexis - guess I'm only 6 months behind! Anyway I hope he likes it.
The weather has been wonderful today up at the cabin. Not too hot, not too cold. Just right. :) We played outside, raked and made cookies. Cole had to "Owies" today. Fell off a chair hit his head on the table, then on the chair and finally on the floor. It was like watching one of those toys where you put the marble in and it goes back and forth. We got an ice pack on him and he was good to go. No visible injuries, more scared than anything. Then tonight when we were going to eat his stubbed his toe and somehow took the skin off of the end of it (the big toe). No idea what he could have done that on. He had to have an ice pack on that to...ALL night. Until "so you think you can dance" came on. Then it somehow was feeling well enough to dance on all over the cabin. Kids - I tell you! Now they are all in bed and I'm about ready to join them. Have a good evening.

A few more layouts of my two favorite subjects. :) Some new kits too! I'm starting to combine elements from various kits, but it's so hard to remember what's in what kit!
The first page is of Cole and Alexis on his new crayon pillow that Grandma made for him when her and Grandpa stayed for a week.
The second layout is of Cole and his owie from when he fell (see earlier posts for full details, LOL). He was so funny about that. Started letting me take his pix, showing off all his owies, then it was "stop momma!" and out the door he went in his yellow boots! He's such a hoot!

Which one do you like?

So I did two layouts with the same photos. The first one I scrap lifted from a layout in my CK mag. After I got it all done I hated it. Too loud or something (the background color is white so it kind of blends into this page). Just not me. So I took another stab at it. I think it's more "me". But feel free to tell me what you think.

A few more layouts for you all to enjoy.

Cole swimming at the pool in West Salem with Dad, and Alexis sleeping in her crib.

Otherwise not a whole lot is new. We planted over 60 plants this weekend, and Cole LOVED it! He enjoys going to the nursery to pick out the flowers and then getting them all organized where they will go...and finally...the dirt! There is one small problem - he's afraid of worms, not a fan of all the little frogs and wants nothing to do with the small brown snakes. I thought he was a boy...LOL. Now we have to water them all and of course sniff them!

Two more layouts...one is a quick page that came with my new kit from SugarGiggles.com I made the second page to match the type of layout on the first. I think it turned out pretty good.

I know these are "new" pix...but I've got to catch up on the old ones too! These are from our trip to Myrtle Beach back in May/June. Cole had so much fun in the pool floating in his little raft!

In recent news...not much. We had a great day hanging out. Did a little garage saling...not much out there. Tomorrow is the big Onalaska Library book sale, so hopefully we'll be able to get to that and find some goodies.

Thursday Night

Crazy night last night with a visit to urgent care. Cole fell outside after waving goodbye to Holly and the kids and bit through his lip. well it wasn't all the way through, but almost. he chewed up the inside with his bottom teeth, and then bit through the outside of his lip/chin with his top teeth. It was deep enough though that they couldn't just leave it, but since it is at a spot that naturally pushes close they glued it instead of putting in stitches. They said if we are lucky the glue will stay on for 4-5 days. He's got a sponge bob Band-Aid on it right now so he think's he's cool. Eric got him a malt last night for being so good at the dr's (no tears, and let all the nurses and doc's look at him) and then let him sleep with us since he had a major boo boo. As long as he doesn't think he can sleep with us all the time…I'm fine with that.

Today all the kids at daycare went to Copland park. Eric picked Cole up so we could take him to the allergist this afternoon. He was having so much fun at the park he didn't want to leave. they then came and picked me up and we went to Cole's apt. Again, he was a little angel. Then it was off to lunch and back to daycare for his nap. I suppose since I've been talking about how good he's been - he'll have to prove me wrong and be a little snot next time we are out. :)

Here's two layouts. One is of Alexis - she's such a sweetie. The other is a scraplift from my latest creating keepsakes mag of Eric and Cole.

Not a lot of scrapbooking going on this weekend, but I managed to get two pages done. one of Me and Alexis with our board shorts and tanks on and one of Cole hammering away before we went on a boat ride.
Otherwise not much is new. Cole and I played outside yesterday. In the sand box, on the climber and in the hammock. He even helped pull weeds. Got to love the age when they think whatever mom is doing is cool and want to do it too. :)

A few more layouts from this summer. I couldn't resist taking pix of our laundry event...washing outside with a washer you fill with a hose and lines strung up in all the trees! Cole thought it was a blast!
Also some pix of Alexis, my little baby doll who's getting bigger every time I blink!
Enjoy. -J
