Saturday Night

I finally got a chance again to scrapbook! Here are the photos from Cole's spring concert at daycare. He wasn't too sure about singing in front of everyone (well acting out the songs since he's still refusing to talk much) but as soon as we got home he's been asking me to sing the songs for him so he can act them out. It was pretty cute, and very short - so that was nice. After the concert we (Christi, Alexis, Cole and myself) all went to the mall for Coney Dogs. We also had to go to Barnes and Noble so Cole could play with the Thomas set there. Never mind he's got way more stuff and a bigger table - he wants to play with that one every time we go to the mall.
Eric left for China on Thursday so he missed out on the concert. Cole didn't see too upset that he wasn't home yesterday, but today he was quiet upset this morning. Just crying for Dada and wanting me to hold him.
We didn't to a whole lot on Friday, just hung out and went for a walk after dinner with Christi. Today we played this morning, Cole and Christi made Popsicles before nap time. Cole slept for 4 hours!! After nap Cole didn't want to come upstairs. He played downstairs with the toys down there by himself while we were upstairs. He finally decided to come up and was happy. Got him dressed and we took him to MC Donald's so he could play at the play place. After that we went shopping, and then home for a walk and to eat our Popsicles before bath and bed. Whew... now I'm tuckered out. I need this little girl to go to bed so I can try to get to sleep a bit early.
Well that's about all for now. Just wanted to get those pix out in case Eric stopped by for a peak at Cole's 1st concert photos. Miss you hon!
Later...

The weekend at it's end...

The weekend is over...once again way too fast. We had a lot of excitement with Grandma and Grandpa Trochinski coming to visit this weekend. Andy also came to visit Christi and Aunt Heather and Uncle Allen came down on Saturday afternoon for the rest of the weekend. Cole had a great time playing with all his Aunts and Uncles. The weather was even nice so we got to play outside. Alexis also had no shortage of willing arms to hold her and talk to her.
My new Creating Keepsakes Mag came in the mail and I found lots of great layout ideas like this one I did of Cole eating his Chalupa, well eating Dad's Chalupa!

Thursday Night

One more layout down...only about a million more to go. :) I love this photo of Alexis staring at me while she was laying on her play mat. It's like she's saying..."ok, here I am - take my picture."
We picked up the kiddos from daycare and took them to Fazoli's. Cole was eating so well, you would have though he hadn't eaten all day! Alexis just snoozed while we finished our dinner. Didn't do a whole lot else this evening. Got home, Cole ran around like a crazy man, "played" gold on the X-Box with Eric and then headed off to bed. I'm about ready to head there myself.
Quick note about this layout...it's from the March/April issue of Simple Scrapbooks. The kit is Shabby Tea Party by Shabby Princess.

Two more layouts! I'm on a roll now!! One from Feb, and one from last September. The first layout was taken from a layout in my recent Simple Scrapbook magazine and the second layout is from a layout in the March issue if Creating Keepsakes. Both used kits from Shabby Princess.
We had a good day at home today. Cole was back to being his usual happy go lucky self. We played trains, colored and watched Little Einstein's. Alexis - she pretty much ate and slept most of the day. :) But that's what baby's do...wish I had that life! Today at nap time I was watching Cole on the monitor. He had his little blue baby bear and was "feeding" him. He would hold the bear up to his belly button to feed him and then hold him over his shoulder to burp him. After that he'd rock him in his arms and then do it all over again. It was so funny!

More Layouts!

I actually had time to do some more layouts. YEA! Both of these layouts are taken from pages I saw in my recent copy of Simple Scrapbooks. I am really enjoying finding cool layouts and then applying my photos and kits I have to create these pages. Plus it is so much quicker if I don't have to think up how to do the entire page from scratch. The first layout is of Cole at the Children's museum. He thought that pin wall was so cool! The second layout is of Alexis just hanging out at home. Both use kits from ShabbyPrincess.com.

Otherwise today was a pretty good day. Cole got to take a bunch of pages to color to daycare that we had printed off the night before. He was handing out different pages to his friends and coloring before we even left! Alexis was of course a little angel - or so they keep telling me. After daycare we took Cole (and Alexis) to McDonald's so he could check out the play place. We've never taken him there before. He thought it was a lot of fun, but was too scared to go very far in the tunnels. Even when the girl there who was monitoring the play place offered to go up with him, he still chickened out. Maybe next time.

Monday again...

Today went by way to fast. It was so nice for all of us to be home for three days over the holiday weekend. It was sunny, but cold out. However that didn't stop Cole from wanting to go outside and play when we got home. After he came in he was mad at me because I told him he couldn't have ice cream until after dinner. He threw a fit, had to take a time out...and it all went down hill from there. I wound up with a nice bite on my shoulder that is all puffy and very sore. Luckily Dad came in to "save the day". Eric got him to calm down and after dinner (I didn't eat with them since I was feeding Alexis) Cole did come and kiss my "owie" and tell me he was sorry. I tell you...the things you go through as a parent!
Well I'm still working on my photos from September. Here are some of Cole at Craig's soccer game. Saw the layout with the soccer ball in one of my mags and knew it was perfect for these photos.
I also love this photo of Cole watching one of his Backyardigan DVD's at my mom and dad's condo. He insisted on wearing the headphones which are too big for his little noggen...but they worked.

Saturday Afternoon

Saturday...ahh and everyone is sleeping but me. That means I get a rare opportunity for quite. :) I did manage to get one layout done. This pix is old, from September...but I found a great layout in my simple scrapbook mag and though this pix was perfect. I snuck in Cole's room one night and took a shot of him sleeping with his Monkey, Baby bear and Puppy. I should really sneak a photo of him now because we've got quite the animal menagerie going in there today. Hardily any room for Cole to sleep. Hehe.
Yesterday we took the kids to Chuck E Cheese's for lunch. Alexis of course didn't care, but Cole had a blast. He loved feeding the machines coins so he could ride them or play a game. He even won enough tickets to get a little tube of bubbles and a yellow star ring. It was a lot of fun - glad Eric had the idea and surprised us all. I'll have to get my pictures from our adventure uploaded and scrapbooked now! So many pictures...so little time.

Here's two layouts that I just did of Cole and Alexis. The first one I actually created the entire layout so that it would match the second one which was a pre-made page that I just had to add my photo and text to. They are from the Growth Spurts kit available at www.CottageArts.com. These are two of their 2 yr and 1 month photos we had taken back in February. Cole is just such a little lovie. Tonight I think we all got 50 hugs and kisses before he would go to bed. He kept getting up so that he could give us more hugs and kisses. You want him to go to bed, but it is just to hard to pass up on all that loving. I figure I have to stock up on it now before he's to big to give his momma hugs and kisses. :)
Otherwise we had a good weekend even though it was so icky outside. Lots of playing, reading books and of course watching a little of the Backyardigans & Little Einsteins. It still wasn't very nice out today, 60 degs but damp and cloudy. We did go for a walk/wagon/stroller ride despite the little sprinkles. Cole likes to walk over to the farm and watch the donkey and goats. He thinks they are so funny. Unfortunately tonight they were all in the barn, so we just had to say Hi and keep walking by. Maybe they will be out tomorrow...
