Which one do you like?

So I did two layouts with the same photos. The first one I scrap lifted from a layout in my CK mag. After I got it all done I hated it. Too loud or something (the background color is white so it kind of blends into this page). Just not me. So I took another stab at it. I think it's more "me". But feel free to tell me what you think.

Otherwise not a whole lot is new. We planted over 60 plants this weekend, and Cole LOVED it! He enjoys going to the nursery to pick out the flowers and then getting them all organized where they will go...and finally...the dirt! There is one small problem - he's afraid of worms, not a fan of all the little frogs and wants nothing to do with the small brown snakes. I thought he was a boy...LOL. Now we have to water them all and of course sniff them!

Two more layouts...one is a quick page that came with my new kit from SugarGiggles.com I made the second page to match the type of layout on the first. I think it turned out pretty good.

I know these are "new" pix...but I've got to catch up on the old ones too! These are from our trip to Myrtle Beach back in May/June. Cole had so much fun in the pool floating in his little raft!

In recent news...not much. We had a great day hanging out. Did a little garage saling...not much out there. Tomorrow is the big Onalaska Library book sale, so hopefully we'll be able to get to that and find some goodies.

Thursday Night

Crazy night last night with a visit to urgent care. Cole fell outside after waving goodbye to Holly and the kids and bit through his lip. well it wasn't all the way through, but almost. he chewed up the inside with his bottom teeth, and then bit through the outside of his lip/chin with his top teeth. It was deep enough though that they couldn't just leave it, but since it is at a spot that naturally pushes close they glued it instead of putting in stitches. They said if we are lucky the glue will stay on for 4-5 days. He's got a sponge bob Band-Aid on it right now so he think's he's cool. Eric got him a malt last night for being so good at the dr's (no tears, and let all the nurses and doc's look at him) and then let him sleep with us since he had a major boo boo. As long as he doesn't think he can sleep with us all the time…I'm fine with that.

Today all the kids at daycare went to Copland park. Eric picked Cole up so we could take him to the allergist this afternoon. He was having so much fun at the park he didn't want to leave. they then came and picked me up and we went to Cole's apt. Again, he was a little angel. Then it was off to lunch and back to daycare for his nap. I suppose since I've been talking about how good he's been - he'll have to prove me wrong and be a little snot next time we are out. :)

Not a lot of scrapbooking going on this weekend, but I managed to get two pages done. one of Me and Alexis with our board shorts and tanks on and one of Cole hammering away before we went on a boat ride.
Otherwise not much is new. Cole and I played outside yesterday. In the sand box, on the climber and in the hammock. He even helped pull weeds. Got to love the age when they think whatever mom is doing is cool and want to do it too. :)

A few more layouts from this summer. I couldn't resist taking pix of our laundry event...washing outside with a washer you fill with a hose and lines strung up in all the trees! Cole thought it was a blast!

Layouts

No internet at our cabin, so we have to walk over to the neighors and sit on thier steps. So not much writing today...but wanted to try and get some of my layouts out there.

Day 5 - Rain

It's raining today. Not fun. Also cold and gloomy. Barb & Jerry took Grandpa to the Dr's this morning and it looks like he was taken to MSP for better treatment. He's got cellulitus (sp??) in his elbow and it's making his arm swell. So lets hope he gets better soon so he can come back to the cabin and spend time with us - especially Cole and Alexis.

I have gotten 4 more pages done!! WOW!! So here you go. Enjoy.

Up at the Lake

Man oh man, it's been a long time since I've been out here. We are up at the cabin, day 4 of 10 and it's nice and sunny, breezy but a bit chilly. Probably 70ish out. We've been having a good time, Cole is enjoying lots of attention from Grandma & Grandpa and Great Grandpa & Grandma. Alexis is too...though she isn't old enough to appreciate all the fun kids can have up here. ;) Me, all I want to do is scrapbook...but it hasn't worked out that way so far. Only 2 pages done. But Cole and I did get a bunch of lily of the valley moved, rocks re-positioned, pebbles collected for our dry creek and just lots of getting dirty.

Here's some pages with recent pictures on them. :) I've been getting complaints that some of the scrapbook pages have old photos on them...but I've got to get the old ones done too!
