Back

Finally a chance to get back and do a little scrapbooking. The kids are in bed (though I'm just about ready to go there too) and it's all quiet in the Cabin...for a few more minutes. Christi and Andy just got here, so I'm sure that Cheza will be going crazy any minute.

Got a new kit from CottageArts.net. That combined with some other elements from here and there and I managed to put this layout together.

Hopefully I'll get some more time to scrap this weekend before we head out - looks like we'll be leaving on Sunday and stopping at the VA in MSP to visit grandpa on the way down.

Here's another layout of the two Nin-nin's. I interviewed Cole and asked him about his Nin-nin and wrote down his responses. I'm sure one day he'll probably want to hide this page - but in the mean time it's fun!

Last Night at the Lake

So my last night of scrapping and our last night at the Cabin. Cole was not happy when Eric told him we had to go home tomorrow. He started yelling "no bye bye daddy, no bye bye". And to tell you the truth, I don't blame him. Who wants to go back to work when you can play up here and enjoy the outdoors, build chipmunk houses, dig up rocks, and go swimming and ride the jet ski. Who knows, I might be yelling No bye bye! LOL. Christi and Andy made it up here about 3ish. Long drive for them coming from Il. They are staying until Sunday though. Had a big dinner tonight of spoon roast and mashed potatoes, and Cole was a little chow hound on the roast! I couldn't beleive it. He never ceases to amaze me on what he will and won't eat!
Well I bet you can't tell what my latest digi tool is... cool artist effects from Scrapgirls. I had been working on that fish layout for a while and just needed something to blend in the fish to the background. I like the end result. I then found a layout I started and didn't like of Cole and myself. I used the artist brush look again and did a completely different layout with the same two pictures. I posted both the new one and the old one that I wasn't too much of a fan of. Feel free to tell me what you think. I always love to read comments about what we are up to and my digi layouts. Well good night, on my last night at the cabin...hopefully I'll get a chance to get back on once we are home - though I think we all know how that goes. Busy, busy, busy

Thursday Night...

Not a lot of scrappin' going on tonight. I did finish a layout of my friend Sarah. Isn't she just beautiful with her sweet little daughter Kennedy? I created the layout for her as a surprise - hopefully she doesn't see it out here before I can print a copy and give it to her. It was my first 8x10 scrap page. Pretty fun! The other layout is a wallpaper for Eric's computer. He's been after me to give him a new one that includes Alexis - guess I'm only 6 months behind! Anyway I hope he likes it.
The weather has been wonderful today up at the cabin. Not too hot, not too cold. Just right. :) We played outside, raked and made cookies. Cole had to "Owies" today. Fell off a chair hit his head on the table, then on the chair and finally on the floor. It was like watching one of those toys where you put the marble in and it goes back and forth. We got an ice pack on him and he was good to go. No visible injuries, more scared than anything. Then tonight when we were going to eat his stubbed his toe and somehow took the skin off of the end of it (the big toe). No idea what he could have done that on. He had to have an ice pack on that to...ALL night. Until "so you think you can dance" came on. Then it somehow was feeling well enough to dance on all over the cabin. Kids - I tell you! Now they are all in bed and I'm about ready to join them. Have a good evening.

A few more layouts of my two favorite subjects. :) Some new kits too! I'm starting to combine elements from various kits, but it's so hard to remember what's in what kit!
The first page is of Cole and Alexis on his new crayon pillow that Grandma made for him when her and Grandpa stayed for a week.
The second layout is of Cole and his owie from when he fell (see earlier posts for full details, LOL). He was so funny about that. Started letting me take his pix, showing off all his owies, then it was "stop momma!" and out the door he went in his yellow boots! He's such a hoot!
