Today was another just hanging out day. I took Cole this morning to Tale of Despereaux. It was an hour and a half...and it got to be a bit long first thing in the morning...for a VERY tired little boy. He had to sleep in his bed last night. No more sleeping upstairs...with mom or dad...or in his sister's room. He went down with a small fight since he fell asleep upstairs. But by 11 they were both back sleeping each in their own room. Well at 3 he got up, and 2 1/2 hrs later he and Alexis (yes he woke her up too) were back sleeping. But not for long. By 6 they were both up and wanting breakfast. So little sleep plus 2 kids = CRAB. What a coincidence that their initials spell C.R.A.B. Hmmm.... After the movie we ran over to Kohls, then to get some food for everyone for lunch and back home. I was so tired that while Eric napped (yes, he's still sick) the kids watched a DVD while I was in and out of sleep on the couch. Dinner, then picking up and then bath. All seemed pretty mellow until Alexis decided to climb out of the tub by herself. I looked over and one second she's on the lip of the tub and the deck on her belly like a penguin and the next she slid right onto the tile floor (also like a penguin) landing on her face. So the crying starts and the blood starts. Turned out she was fine, only a small cut on her lip. Which if you know Alexis, she usually cuts her lip/mouth once a week.
But they are now both sleeping in their own beds...we'll see how long this goes on tonight. I'm hoping Cole's so tired he won't be able to wake up until morning. :)
For those of you who remember reading "how does a dinosaur" books to Cole at 2 and he'd answer each question with the 'Nooooo'...Alexis was doing the same thing tonight when dad was reading to her. Though her "no" is much different, but still adorable.
Well off to watch a grown up movie with Eric.

Hurray...2 more

A few more photos done! Yea!

I'm thinking I need to start writing down (well I've been writing them down, but share) all my favorite stories about the kids. They say and do the funniest things. It's hard not to laugh..even when you know you shouldn't. :) Like this morning for example. I was downstairs with Alexis and Cole came down - SUPER EARLY at 6:20am! We go into Lex's room and first thing Cole sees and then says is "mom, there's dog shit over there". I laughed...I did. Bad mom. But it was so funny to hear him say it. I then told him he shouldn't say that word. So he looks at me like 'whatever' and says "dog POOOP!"

Later that afternoon I was out shopping with Alexis and my friend Julie. My phone rings and it's Cole (prompted by dad to call). He talks to me for awhile and then says "Can I talk to Baby Doll". Ok....I guess... So I tell her Cole wants to talk to her, put the phone by her and she says really quiet "Hi, Nooo" (Nooo is how she says Cole) It was so ordinary, like she talks to him on the phone every day. But then when I think about it, they do call and talk to each other almost every day on their little pretend cell phones. So guess this is nothing new for either of them. But I still got a good chuckle over it.

Well singing off today...I'll try to keep up with the stories and photos.

Feb...almost gone

Well I finally got a few hrs to do some digi scrap. Not much, but at least a peak as to what we've been up to. The kids and I love being home, and it gives us lots of time to play, create and take some...well...interesting photos.

Also some photos from back a few weeks at Nolan's baptism.
